MArketing & events coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: Amherst Innovative Living, LLC is a Massachusetts-based firm specializing in managing the finest living communities in the area. With six operational communities, Amherst Innovative Living leads the market in offering unparalleled customer service and living experiences. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused, excellent communicator with a passion for social media to join our team as Marketing and Events Coordinator. You will be responsible for planning, producing, and overseeing communications, collateral materials, campaigns and events that drive interest in the communities we manage. You should be passionate about meeting goals while working as part of a team. As our Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will develop successful messages based on marketing trends that through various channels encourage prospects to inquire how they can become a resident and “LOVE WHERE THEY LIVE.” The incumbent will report directly to Management.

Corporate Representation
Representing AIL and communities under management throughout Amherst and as directed by AIL Management
Monitoring use of logos and brands for AIL and communities under management and ensuring they are properly displayed for sponsorships, memberships, events, and collateral to include staff uniform attire and all communication.
Strategies and Social Media
Creating, developing and implementing strategies for AIL and each community under management based on marketing trends, to include timelines
Using social media tools to maintain created brands for AIL and for each community under management
Actively updating social media accounts with content that encourages people to engage with and follow our accounts
Working with vendors to design and order promotional materials
Collaboratively working with maintenance, property management and facilities team members to ensure that apartments, lobbies, and common areas are staged for marketing purposes
Working with photographers, videographers, and approved vendors to carry out approved campaigns, initiatives and projects.
Events
Promoting cultural understanding through programming and events by creating positive, friendly and diverse communities and supporting the needs of traditionally underrepresented residents (such as international, LGBTQIA, BIPOC, etc.)
Developing, organizing and carrying out successful monthly resident events at communities under management to include flyers, supplies and needed staffing
Organizing, preparing and carrying out successful participation of AIL in external community-wide events to include ads, photos/videos, and appreciation follow-up
Media and Collateral
Producing monthly newsletters for communities under management to include selection of local non-profit project
Creating flyers related to upcoming events, awareness campaigns, and other matters of interest to AIL
Writing and distributing press releases
Developing partnerships for promoting AIL and communities under management using ads and flyers for posting or distribution
Website Management
Updating and managing the websites for AIL and communities under management with pertinent information on a daily basis
Serving as the AIL liaison with approved website vendor in the creation and updating of websites
Reviewing trends and feedback on websites, and making recommendations for improvements
Internet Listing Services
Updating and monitoring all Internet Listing Services to ensure up-to-date information for potential residents on a biweekly basis
Researching new opportunities for advertising communities under management
Administrative
Reporting analysis on marketing initiatives on a weekly basis
Reporting outcomes from events on a weekly basis (including media generated, photos/videos, contacts made)
Providing updates, revisions, corrections, etc. to be made to any level of AIL marketing on a weekly basis
Tracking expenses for company memberships and sponsorships, and events supplies ensuring they are within the annual budget and reporting on a monthly basis
Developing and maintaining list of contacts: non-profits, local businesses, elected and Town officials
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE SKILLS:
Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, Adobe, Apple/Mac products, Squarespace, Dropbox, and Social Media platforms
EXPERIENCE:
Professional Social Media/Website Management - 1 year
Marketing Data Analysis - 1 year
Event Planning - 1 year
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in English
Average Mathematical Skills
Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle in Amherst
Have the ability to work independently without direct supervision
Be able to multitask and manage competing priorities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
Maintain a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation, and be able to travel between company locations, venues, and other locations as directed.
Lift, carry, or manipulate a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted.
Stand, walk, drive, sit, stoop, reach, bend, stretch and climb stairs during the entirety of the scheduled shift.
Operate a computer and have specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, and adjust vision while working with a computer and other business equipment.

JOB TYPE: Full-time
SCHEDULE:
Standard schedule of Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm with an unpaid lunch break. Due to the nature of this role, evenings and weekends will be required, thereby flexing the standard schedule.
Each year, our communities have various turnover weeks period that fall between the time periods defined below:
June 17 and July 5
July 18 and August 2
August 15 and September 6
The Marketing and Events Coordinator is expected to be available to work each day during the Turnover weeks period and will most likely work over their regular schedule. You will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek during this period.
SALARY: Starts at $20.00 per hour, plus bonuses
